Premier Marinas key fob rule changes
Stephen S writes…
I recently learnt that Premier have exceeded the possible number of key fobs on their system. Spring cleaning followed. As a consequence many of you may find that your key fobs have been deactivated. A visit to the marina office will be required and as only the duty manager can approve reactivation of or additional Tops’l fobs, you should probably allow quarter of an hour for the pleasure.
So why do we get the special treatment? Well, because of the first of two new policies. The first doesn’t apply to us but hence requires the duty manager to overrule it: that a maximum of 3 fobs may be active at any one time for any given vessel. I was relieved to hear that they had recognised that that would be a bit of a problem for Tops’l and other joint ownership clubs.
The second policy will probably affect most members once a year: any fob that has been inactive for six months will be deactivated. Factor that into your spring shakedown!
