Langstone Harbour Dues – a reminder to check local notices

Special thanks are due to Steve Leniston for pointing out the updated Harbour Dues for Langstone Harbour. Although it is very rare for a Tops’l yacht to enter Langstone, this is a timely reminder of the importance of checking local notices at any intended destination.

The new charges are probably due to additional costs imposed on many organisations. We should expect similar increases generally for other services in the Solent and beyond.

Current Langstone fees include:

  • In addition to the daily charge for Harbour Dues: £9.30 per 24 hours
  • Mooring Fee: £16.40 per 24 hours
  • Penalty for failure to declare: £10.00

Payments can be made via the Langstone Harbour Board website: www.langstoneharbour.org.uk

A further note if you’re tempted by the free mooring at Premier Marina Southsea:

“Harbour charges are not included in the mooring fees at Premier Southsea and therefore, unless your vessel is to be lifted from shoreside into and out of the marina and has never left the marina, some harbour charges may be payable.”

Don’t linger too long, or you may be charged for two full days!
