Kings Harbour Master LNTM 47/25

As you transit Portsmouth Harbour you will notice that the callsign used on Channel 11 is now Portsmouth VTS (Vessel Traffic Service). This is simply a change in callsign; the function and rules of the service remain the same and are still available via the KHM website.

On a transit on 1st May, there was notably high radio traffic on Channel 11 – managing both commercial port departures and cross-channel traffic. Stay alert when passing through and make sure your comms are in order.

Finally, a seal has been spotted in Portsmouth Harbour – probably trying to avoid paying Langstone’s new dues.
