New Suzuki outboard for Jocalia

Peter Greinke recently shared news of Jocalia’s new outboard motor: a Suzuki D2.5, replacing the ageing 2-stroke Yamaha. After an unreliable, hit and miss season, the Yamaha was part-exchanged for the 4-stroke Suzuki model.

It should be familiar to many members as it is identical to the one carried by Carina. However, it is worth revisiting the manual as a reminder, in particular to clean and flush it after operation in salt water. You can do it by hanging a bucket of fresh water round the propellor when it is on the push pit mounting, and running the engine in Neutral.

Brief operating instructions should soon be available in the laminated pack at the navigation table.
