Elfida’s New Standing Rigging

Having been lifted out of the water at the beginning of September, Thursday 2nd October saw Elfida being re-launched without her mast.

Shortly after launch, Elfida’s mast with new standing rigging and new Jib furling gear was lifted by crane and carefully guided into place. This was done by Chris, from Martin Leaning, who re-tensioned the standing rigging. Elfida was then positioned into her new winter berth at Port Solent. 

Many thanks to Tops’l club members Steve B, Tim P and Jeff T who spent the rest of the day refitting the boom, sails, halyards and reefing lines.

All ready for a shake-down sail!
